Territorial Land Acknowledgement
The University of Calgary, located in the heart of Southern Alberta, both acknowledges and pays tribute to the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7, which include the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprised of the Piksika, the Piikani, and the Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations). The City of Calgary is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta (Districts 5 and 6).
The University of Calgary is situated on land Northwest of where the Bow River meets the Elbow River, a site traditionally known as Moh’kins’tsis to the Blackfoot, Wîchîspa to the Stoney Nakoda, and Guts’ists’i to the Tsuut’ina. On this land and in this place we strive to learn together, walk together, and grow together “in a good way.”

Conference Description
Youngsters 3 is a celebration of the unruly, the irreverent, and the defiant as these qualities pertain to young people, the social and imaginative worlds they inhabit and create, and the many scholarly discourses that aim to study them.
We welcome contributions from a wide variety of disciplinary and interdisciplinary locations. For more information, please take a look at our full call for papers.

Registration
There are a couple of steps that need to be taken before the conference takes place in June! Please register your attendance at the link below.
All presenters must be registered by Monday, May 13, 2024.
This allows us to prepare appropriately for attendance numbers, we appreciate your registration at your earliest convenience.

Venue & Accommodation
The conference will take place at the Rozsa Centre- University of Calgary. If you are flying in for the conference, the Calgary Airport will be where you will arrive.
Click the button below to reserve a room at a discounted rate, first-come, first-served. The block of rooms is at the Alt Hotel, University District, which is a 10-15 minute walk from our venue.
